LILITH | "SAMAEL"
Player Information
Player Name Opal Contact [plurk.com profile] opalinesque | opalinesque
AKA Eve and the Knight at Serpentine Horizon, Kaiko at Sidereal/Quiet Mounds, MANY at Court Back In The Day, etc.
Character Basics
Character Name Lilith | "Samael Series/Canon OC
AU/PG/Canon Point PG A Forest Dark Cottage Nest
Canon Details "The country for the unjustly dead" was an afterlife specifically for those souls who died with some destiny-ordained task left undone, thereby damaging the fabric of fate. There, they would be put through trials designed to both refine and judge their worthiness to go back and fix the mistake that killed them. This task was carried out by "Arbiters," parasitic organisms of all shapes and sizes that took the bodies of any unworthy dead who volunteered to act as their hosts.

...That was how it was meant to go, anyway. It turns out even an afterlife can go through an apocalypse.
Character Details
Age Appears to be in her early twenties Pronouns She | She/they
Physical Stature Very tall (6'1") and androgynous leaning. Built like a brick wall. Hair/Eyes Dark, dull steel-blue for both. Her eyes don't reflect the light quite right.
Notable Traits Wears a giant emerald tree boa skull over her face like a mix between a mask and a visor— like this, or this.

Heavily scarred; the most noticeable are thick keloids over her knuckles and some old surgical seams crossing her right cheek and circling her neck and right wrist. ...There's also something just a little unsettling about her even aside from the scars and the skull, but it's difficult to pin down just what.

15 Second Summary A judge of the dead in the shape of a giant snake skull consensually possessing a dead Frankenstein. (A Forest Dark was a hell of game, okay.)

Lilith (the host) is somber, frequently morbid and/or dramatic, and has a hell of temper, but she's also overall a caring sort of individual who really just wants to be treated as a person. The stereotypical prickly outside with a squishy center is incredibly real, though she's willingly put away a lot of her defensive attitude at this point (and will be entirely without it without years of traumatic memories from growing up as a non-human).

Samael is a little harder to describe. As a creature literally programmed for a specific function (the testing and judgement of the dead), she doesn't by default quite have free will or a very human perspective— however, experience and the influence of the people around her have lead her to develop a quiet, patient, and selfless personality, with a strong interest in other people's lives and stories. She enjoys seeing the happiness of the people around her, and strongly dislikes seeing anyone suffering unnecessarily— though her definition of "unnecessary" is perhaps a little non-standard...
Abilities & Permissions
Abilities High-level Naruto-style ninja nonsense (so transformation, illusion-casting, elemental manipulation, martial arts, general badassery). Superhuman strength and durability.

Samael individually can heal or alter bodies, has some limited control over plant growth, and also has "authority" over the dead— particularly the "unjustly dead," IE characters from AUs where they died when in canon they lived. This is probably going to be somewhat nerfed, but if you have a character who falls into that category and do/do not want her to take an interest in them for the sake of Shenanigans, please let me know!

Permissions I am okay with many things! My only real limits are that I can't play out outright noncon or dubcon that would lead to anyone being too upset later, and I'd prefer to avoid loving descriptions of certain kinds of torture (eye, mouth, or finger trauma). If things are getting intense one way or another I would also like to be in contact!

Sensing People capable of sensing the dead or spirits will probably get some sort of bizarre ping from her, since she's basically a psychopomp made from the soul of a dead animal possessing the dead soul of a creature made from corpses. People capable of sensing chakra or power levels or whatever will notice that hers is pretty up there (though anything like the Byakugan can tell the vast majority of it is stored in the skull, rather than in the rest of her body).
